By Khenpo Tashi Sangpo Lag
Initiation and teachings of Medicin Buddha, and explanations concerning the corresponding ritual.
Illness is a suffering which is common to all living beings. However, to Tibetan medicine most illnesses are psychosomatic, and for Buddhism many kinds of mental or physical illnesses are in fact generated largely by improper attitude and cannot be cured by conventional medicine alone. There is a link between the correct thoughts, healthy living, and happiness. The Buddha taught a meditative practice for people with illnesses which is based on the practice of a sacred mantra and a Buddha-based meditation of medicine.
