Ven. Ani Laura Coccitto, born in Italy, discovered Tibetan Buddhism in 1980. She worked as a primary school teacher and was involved with malnourished mothers and children in Africa. She took the nun’s vow in 2001. In 2004 she graduated from the seven year program at Lama Tzong Khapa Institute in Pomaia. She was also one of the tutors of this program. In 2003 she met H.H. Kyabgön Gongma Trichen Rinpoche, from whom she received the Lamdre in Kuttolsheim in 2010. This was her first contact with Khenchen Sherab. She leads study groups in various centers.
