The Tibetan people have carefully shaped and preserved an authentic and intact culture and vision of life for centuries. Despite the current circumstances, Tibetans try to keep this vision alive and to transmit it so that it does not disappear.
Supporting them in their daily lives and in this task is, beyond its humanitarian dimension, a contribution to the safeguarding and enrichment of the cultural heritage of humanity.

In 1980, Venerable Khenchen Lama Sherab Amipa Rinpoche founded the association “Traditions et Arts Himalayens de Sakya”. The association aims to promote and safeguard the traditional principles governing Tibetan life, culture and arts.

To achieve its objectives, it carries out humanitarian and educational actions in schools and institutions, both secular and monastic (drinking water, libraries, teaching, education, clothing, first aid , hospitals, medications…).

To support its activities, cultural and sales expositions* of Tibetan handicrafts and carpets are organized. The manufacture and distribution of these products is currently an important resource for Tibetan refugees.

The association also had the great privilege of welcoming His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1982 and 1988.

You can stay informed of upcoming Tibetan art exhibitions on the Facebook page of Traditions et Arts Himalayens de Sakya.

*these exhibitions and sales take place only during events in support of the activities
