NAMGYAL TONGCHÖ FOR HIS HOLINESS KYABGON GONGMA SAKYA TRICHEN RINPOCHE

Friday 15 septembre from 20:00 to 22:00 at Sakya Tsechen Ling :

To celebrate His Holiness’ birthday (according to the Tibetan calendar) the ritual of “Thousand-Offerings to Buddha Ushnishavijaya” (tib. Namgyal Tongchö) will be performed. Buddha Ushnishavijaya is one of the three longevity Buddhas.

His Holiness Kyabgon Gongma Trichen Rinpoche is one of the most venerated Lamas and Vidyadhara of Vajrayana Buddhism and having His constant presence in our centres is truly a great blessing. It is important for us to continuously create karma to keep this connection with him alive!

Through this powerful ritual may we deeply request His Holiness to remain in good health and live long, and continuously turn the wheel of Dharma.

During the Namgyal Tongchö–ritual, the seven offerings of water for drinking, water for washing, flowers, incense, light, scented water and food are prepared 1000 times.
If you would like to contribute to these offerings with a donation, you are most welcome.

BOUDDHA USHNISHAVIJAYA – TEACHING & INITIATION

Ushnishavijaya, ‘Victorious Queen of the Crown of Light’ is a female Deity of long life who manifested from the brilliant rays of light that crown Buddha Shakyamuni. The crown of light (Ushnisha) is one of the 32 major signs of spiritual realisation that appears as a result of the boundless supreme wisdom attained by a Buddha. As an emblem of the absolute spiritual state, the Ushnisha symbolises the all-conquering power of omniscience, which enables even death to be defeated. Ushnishavijaya personifies such victorious power.

Monthly session

“THE FOUR SCHOOLS OF TIBETAN BUDDHISM ”

19 and 20 June from 10:00 to 12:00, and from 13:30 to 15:30
By Ani Laura Coccitto
.

By visio conference only! If you wish to subscribe to this session, please klick on the blue button “SAKYA DHARMA FAMILY” below.

Following the spread of Buddhism in Tibet by Guru Rinpoche, four schools emerged: Nyingma, Sakya, Kagyü, Gelug.

H. H. Gongma Trichen Rinpoche likes to underline that different lineages of the four schools are all intertwined. Every teaching we receive from our Master carries within itself the blessings of the holy beings of all schools.

We will briefly study these lineages and some of their great practitioners, such as Machig Labdrön known as the Dakini of the Chöd practice, who lived in Tibet in the second half of the 11th century.

*This teaching is in Italian. If you need translation into another language – English, German or Dutch, please register by 10 June. Translations will be arranged, if we receive a min. number of requests per language by 10 June. You will receive an email on 11 June informing you of available translations.

**INFORMATION FOR FRENCH SPEAKING PARTICIPANTS: The same teaching will be given during the weekend of 2 – 4 July in the centre of Kuttolsheim/France, in Italian with the French translation!

Also to be noted :

  • 26 June at 14:00 Chenrézig meditation by Khenpo Tashi Sangpo Lag, followed by “Going for refuge” by Marie-Madeleine Schmitt.

Sa S. K. G. Sakya Trichen Rinpoché : “Going for refuge is the root of all the Dharma, the foundation of all the vows and that which differentiates between the Buddhist from the non-Buddhist. By going for refuge one comes under the direct guidance of the Triple Gem”.tite réflexion d’expérience personnelle lors d’une récente opération.

Monthly session “DECHEN MÖNLAM PRAYER”

On 14 May at 20:30, 15 and 16 May from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00
By Khenpo Tashi Sangpo Lag
.

Dechen Mönlam is an important aspirational prayer. Originally composed by Karma Chakmé in eastern Tibet in the 17th century, this prayer deals with rebirth in the pure realm of Sukhāvatī, where the Buddha Amitabha is believed to reside.

It belongs to the category of prayers recited to seek rebirth in Buddha realms that are considered conducive for spiritual practice to reach enlightenment.

Dechen Mönlam is chanted mainly during Pure Land practices to obtain rebirth in Sukhāvatī. It is based on the teachings of rebirth in pure lands found in some Mahāyāna sutras. Thus, it is a practice common in Himalayan Buddhism and also in Chinese, Japanese and Korean Buddhism.

SAGA DAWA DÜCHEN

On 26 May at 20:00.

SAGA DAWA DÜCHEN is one of the four major Buddhist feasts. It celebrates Buddha Shakyamuni’s enlightenment and Parinirvana.

On his enlightenment at the age of thirty-five in Bodhgaya, the Buddha proclaimed:

“Profound peace, natural simplicity, uncompounded luminosity, I have found a nectar-like Dharma.”

When Buddha lay dying in a forest grove in Kushinagara, surrounded by five hundred of his disciples, he said to them with his last breath:

“It is in the nature of all things that take form to dissolve again. Strive with your whole being to attain perfection.”

Our prayers during this evening are dedicated to universal peace.
